Skystation by Peter Newman~

Skystation, I love its name! Skystation is a public seating concept that allowing the public to gaze up at the sky and gain a different perspective of the surroundings. Inspired by le corbusier's iconic LC4 chaise lounge, and makes use of contours to fit the reclining human figure. Skystation designed by artist peter newman, now it is presented at the hayward gallery, southbank, london this week, as part of a larger public seating project. Skystation is an outdoor seating unit that encourages passersby to lie down and contemplate the vast expansive space around them. Their aim to setting up a constellation of skystations in 100 locations, both in the UK and worldwide as part of the '100 places project'~
