Bioshock 2 Subject Delta Chainsaw Sculpture~
This is a video of a guy carving the original Big Daddy prototype out of wood. With a chainsaw. Which brings up an interesting question: how do you carve Subject Delta out of a tree? Shave away everything that doesn't look like a Big Daddy. HAHA!~

To Reality And Beyond!: Buzz Lightyear IRL~
This is an "untooned" version of Buzz Lightyear by CG artist Raoni Nery. Well, what do you think -- is this what Buzz would look like if he were real? Your guess is as good as mine. Except not at all because I'm a notoriously good guesser. Just sayin', you know those "guess the number of jelly beans in the jar" contests? Never lost~

Look, You Can See The Bone!: Casttoos~
Casttoos are tattoos for casts. The company makes a number of different standard designs (flames, tribal stuff, etc), but the coolest available is a custom version of your actual broken bones. You just email the company a scan of your x-ray, and they send you a waterproof tattoo to apply to your cast. It's as simple as that!~

Kirsten Dunst Cosplay~
NOTE: Video is NSFW due to anime nudity at 0:25, 0:52, 1:25, 2:39 and 3:25 -- so skip those parts. Or don't, God, you hate your job anyway~
This is a cover and music video of The Vapors' classic, 'Turning Japanese' as performed by Kirsten Dunst. I thought you might be into it. Hell, I don't know, she's dressed up as the "Akihabara Majokko Princess" and dancing around in the streets. Plus blue hair and a magic wand. And speaking of magic wands: have any of you seen Harry Potter around here lately? I think we might have had a little mix-up. I went to play fetch with my dog and he exploded~

If you only read one manga in 2010, make it Biomega~
Written and drawn by Tsutomu Nihei (Wolverine: Snikt!, Blame!, NSE, and NOiSE), Biomega will be sure to remind oldschool anime heads of the times when anime wasn’t all about cute girls in frilly outfits or never-ending series about people leveling up and fighting for the fate of something or other. This story takes a page right from the best of cyberpunk anime and mixes kick-ass action and gore with a story that doesn’t suck~
The year is 3006 A.D. The N5S virus has turned most of the world’s population into zombie-like mutants. Zoichi Kanoe, a synthetic human agent created by Tao Heavy Industry, and Fuyu Kanoe, the holographic A.I. system in Zoichi’s bike are on a mission to find the key to humanity’s salvation: a girl named Eon Green who has the power to transmute the N5S virus.
The first volume of Biomega starts off with Zoichi and Fuyu heading to 9J0, a man-made floating island city in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. They’re in search of Eon Green, but they’re not the only one’s searching. The Public Health Service has sent their Compulsory Execution Unit to retrieve the girl so that they can use her cells to aid in creating a new race of superhumans immune to the N5S virus and purge the old race~
And there’s also a talking grizzly bear~

"The Wolfgang keyboard bench is made up of 2000 keys imbedded into a layered Baltic birch wood. Each key is pressable and actually makes a clicking sound when pressed. The tactile effect of the bench also makes a playful interaction with the bench becauseyou engage with the piece of furniture in a very up close and intimate manner while pressing in the keys~

CodeOrgan Turns Any Website Into Music~
CodeOrgan is a website where you can enter any website's URL, and, using a complicated algorithm, it turns the website's code into "music". Obviously, GEEKOUT is the most beautiful website you will ever hear, but you can try it with any other one you want. And the songs will change as the "body" content of the website changes. So you can listen to a different GEEKOUT song tomorrow. They are all magical! Like Link's ocarina songs, but this one won't summon your horse. Unless that's what you are calling your girlfriend, in which case, she's probably cheating on you with someone nicer. LIKE YOUR ROOMMATE. Seriously, I saw them together~

Sony's new Cyber-shot is slim, small and now waterproof ~
Sony's Cyber-shot line of cameras have always been an excellent option for anyone who uses a camera casually — you know, like taking pictures at parties or on family trips. Now, the electronics giant is teaching its long-running digital camera line a new trick with the Cyber-shot TX5, which boasts the ability to go underwater with you~
You won't want to take it too deep as it's only rated for a depth of three meters, though that should be enough for most pools or some fun at the beach. Other than that the TX5 operates as you'd expect, with a 10.2 megapixel sensor, 45 MB of onboard storage and the ability to shoot panoramas and HD video.~
Look for the TX5 in March~

Wasabi Fire Detector Alerts You To Danger With The Smell Of Deliciousness~
The Wasabi Fire Detector alerts you to the danger of fire with the smell of delicious condimentation. Provided you can smell it over all the smoke. And remembered to replace the batteries after you took them out that time you accidentally burnt a bag of popcorn. Actually, the alarm was designed with the deaf in mind~
So a Japanese company called Air Water Safety Service has developed a new type of fire alarm that uses smell instead of sound. More specifically, it uses the chemical compound allyl isothiocyanate, which you'll find in horseradish and wasabi, in specific quantities so as to wake someone up without giving them a burning sensation in their eyes~
In testing the alarm has been found to be effective in a room roughly about 50 square feet in size, waking someone up with smell alone in about 2 and a half minutes. Not exactly springing out of bed mind you, but it does seem to work. Unfortunately the $560 price tag has meant the units aren't exactly flying off the shelves, but the company hopes a redesign can bring the price down to a slightly more reasonable, but still kind of expensive, $225~
I happened to get a model to test, so I'm gonna start a fire in a trashcan and get into bed. I'll let you know how it goes~

light cycles could become a reality with yuji fujimura’s wheel driver~
I don’t know about you guys, but I really loved the Light Cycles in Tron. It was the best design of a new sort of motorcycle that we still haven’t seen on our roads. Sure, there are some really neat motorcycles in fiction, like the ones in Akira, but this design actually might be made. The Wheel Driver concept was created by Japanese designer Yuji Fujimura. The interesting thing is that the driver is seated inside the wheel, kind of like General Grievous’ vehicle in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It would be pretty amazing to see a bunch of these single-wheeled motorcycles on the roads someday~

Bottoms Up, Rings Down!~
Putting a ring inside your girl friend’s Wendy’s Frosty may seem romantic (not really though), but when you and your friends encourage her to chug it, you might just ruin the surprise. At least, that’s what happened to Reed Harris, when his girlfriend, Kaitlin Whipple, opened up her gullet and downed the contents on her Frosty, only to see her cheering crowd suddenly go blank and look at each other with worry. “I felt nothing at all,” she told Lauer. “I was racing my friends, so there was no way I was going to lose that competition.”~
That’s right, Kaitlin drank her engagement ring and had to go to the hospital, where the ring was found via X-ray. Reed proposed to Kaitlin with the X-ray image of the ring in place of the actual jewelry. A few days later, with the help of plenty of fiber, the couple recovered the ring –and promptly had it cleaned!~

The $800 Lamp You're Supposed To Destroy~
Looking for a ridiculously expensive lamp you're supposed to bang a bunch of holes in with a pick-hammer? Well you're in luck, because that's exactly the value proposition you'll get if you pick up artist Jordi Canudas' Less Lamp. Pass The Butter: GIANT CRAB IS GIANT!!~
Anybody else just flash back to Half Life? Me neither, it was a Dead concert. Anyway, this is a giant f***ing Japanese Spider Crab. It was recently caught off the coast of -- you'll never guess -- Japan, and will be on display in England. I bet my ex-wife has bigger ones~
"With its enormous legs and lethal claws, this monster of the deep is already the biggest crab ever seen in Britain~
But astonishingly, the arthropod - which measures a staggering 10ft from claw to claw - is still growing, and could live until it is 100~
Nicknamed 'Crabzilla' after the fictional giant monster, the Japanese Spider Crab has a body the size of a basketball and its legs can straddle a car. They will eventually measure a massive 15ft [across]"~
Crabzilla is currently in quarantine, but will be on display at the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham, England soon. Ultimately, he will be moved to the Sea Life Center in Blankenberge, Belgium, where he will be stolen and eaten by me~

Finally, after years of watching me struggle with those impossible-to-open packets, Heinz has decided to take my advice and invest in new condiment applicators. ”The aim was to create a unique gift to give our clients at Christmas and to act as a new business introduction. It needed to remind them of who we are and the long hours that we put into our work. It needed to feature all of our staff, reflect our creativity and sense of humor. The print run was 5000 labels. We obtained high quality cleanskin wines and created our own labels. Each label was based on one staff member. It included a number of facial features and the client is encouraged to BYO – Build Their Own. The wine and the label is the perfect substitute for when the real thing cannot be there.” Project by The Creative Method~
