There's a lot of surface area on this planet that's ripe for solar panels. It's flat, it's got nothing blocking it from the sun, and it lets panels float on it. Yep, its the oceans. But big storms can screw with floating solar arrays, making the installation and use difficult. That's not so with LSAs~
LSAs (Liquid Solar Arrays) are solar panels that are designed to float in water. When storms hit, they simply submurge themselves under the water until it passes. It's built using lightweight, readily available plastic with existing solar concentrator technologies, so they're ready to go now. We'll see if they end up catching on in the near future~
