Nintendo Wii part of brain testing for injured soldiers~

At Fort Campbell, Kentucky, soldiers are being tested before and after they've been deployed as part of a new program to diagnose and treat the effects of brain injuries. The first round of tests was applied to 400 members of the 101st Airborne Division returning from their deployment~

Soldiers go through a battery of tests to measure different cognitive functions. Visual tests show how fast and accurately a soldier can recognize letters, a driving simulator gives soldiers the feeling of driving under different environmental conditions and a Nintendo Wii game system, with its motion-sensitive controller, helps with coordination skills~

Pish. Those guys have been at war. I think they're ready for something more challenging than a Wii game. Put them in front of a little Ninja Gaiden. They can take it~
