Sony Rebuilding Playstation Network After Attack~

Sony reports the network will remain down indefinitely as they rebuild the system from scratch (and dent). New Rurouni Kenshin Anime Series Announced~

Its been more than fifteen years since the release on the Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心) anime series based on Watsuki Nobuhiro same titled manga series. Now we have news confirmation that a new anime series is currently underway!~

According to the latest June issue of Shueisha’s Jump Square magazine, a new Rurouni Kenshin anime project is currently in the works, while more information will be revealed in subsequently issues of the magazine~

Persona 4 Anime Series Officially Announced~

Aniplex has finally released the official website for the upcoming Persona 4 anime series that is adapted from the same-titled RPG from Atlus~

The website has revealed that the series is being directed by Kishi Seiji at AIC ASTA. The anime series will be retaining the original cast from the game:

* Namikawa Daisuke (Narukami Yu)
* Morikubo Shoutaro (Hanamura Yousuke)
* Horie Yui (Satonaka Chie)
* Koshimizu Ami (Yukiko Amagi)

Interestingly in the manga series, the protagonist was called Seta Souji but in the anime series he is named Narukami Yu instead~

The movie trailer has been released for the upcoming Sengoku Basara Theatrical Film will be premiering in Japan on 4 Jun 2011. The movie is titled Sengoku Basara : The Last Party, and will be set after the first two season. Ishida Mitsunari has vowed to avenge Toyotomi Hideyoshi and appears before Date Masamune. Meanwhile, Tokugawa Ieyasu railles the military commanders for the decisive grand “Battle of Sekigahara.”~

Mass Effect Anime Movie Summer 2012~

EA and FUNimation have announced a new partnership to create an "anime feature film" based on the critically-acclaimed RPG franchise Mass Effect. T.O Entertainment, a Tokyo-based anime film production company, will co-produce the movie. According to EA, the anime film will "tell the tale of an epic science fiction adventure set in a vast universe filled with dangerous alien life and mysterious, uncharted planets."~

Mass Effect series executive producer Casey Hudson will serve as executive producer on the film alongside his Funimation and T.O Entertainment equals~

"Over the last few years, we have revealed different pieces of the Mass Effect world through different media. Extending the story through an anime medium is another amazing opportunity for us," said Hudson. "Partnering with FUNimation ensures that we will bring this rich universe to life with the utmost quality and the same attention to detail that the Mass Effect games are known for."~

"It is thanks to the enormous and passionate Mass Effect fan base that this movie is made possible," said Gen Fukunaga, President & CEO of FUNimation. "With production underway on the Dragon Age video, we are excited to team up with another BioWare team to add an exciting new chapter to this vast sci-fi world."~

The Mass Effect anime film is currently in production and will release both digitally and on home video in summer 2012~
